GUIDE FOR PATIENT COMPANIERS & COMPANIONS

Our Companion Policy

Dear Companions, In order to ensure that our patients complete their treatment processes in the most comfortable and safe manner, there are specific guidelines companions must follow. Thank you for your cooperation.

Companion Authorization & Eligibility

What are the conditions for having a companion in our hospital?

Whether the patient requires a companion is decided by the treating physician.

In accordance with physician approval, only one (1) companion is allowed per patient.

Companion swaps must be executed with the prior knowledge and coordination of the clinical nurses.

In VIP suites, a second companion may exceptionally be allowed with explicit physician approval.

Companion ID Badge Procedure

Use of companion identification badges within the hospital.

Companions must collect their companion ID card from the reception during admission.

It is mandatory to wear the ID badge visibly at all times within the hospital for security.

During discharge procedures, the companion ID card must be returned to the department staff.

During security checks, companions must assist security staff with identity verification.

Core guidelines to ensure safety and clinical comfort.

Companions must strictly adhere to hospital cleaning and hygiene protocols.
Smoking and use of tobacco products (including e-cigarettes) are strictly prohibited inside hospital borders.

Noise must be kept to a minimum; TV and phone volumes must be set to not disturb other patients.
Companions must temporarily leave the room during physician rounds and nursing care procedures.
Under no circumstances should medical equipment be touched; call the nurse in case of alarms.
Companions also share responsibility for ensuring visitors comply with hospital regulations.
The nurse call bell must be used immediately if any unusual change in the patient's status is observed.
